New UK D-STAR Repeater GB7PI

Back in 1971 GB3PI run by the Cambridge (PYE) Repeater Group from the Barkway Ridge pioneered FM Repeater operation in the UK. Now 36 years later Barkway Ridge will be at the forefront of the Digital Voice revolution with the
licensing of the D-STAR repeater GB7PI.

The Notice of Variation (NoV) for the D-STAR repeater GB7PI in North Herts was issued by the UK Regulator Ofcom on October 8th and an NoV for another D-STAR repeater GB7FK in Kent was issued on October 18th.

Both D-STAR repeaters will be operating on the same 70cm channel pair which uses a 6 MHz offet. The input will be on 433.9125 MHz with the output on 439.9125 MHz.
